Introduction
Welcome to S-273 SEAT Manager. This is a blended learning course which consists of coursework to be completed online followed by an instructor led classroom session. This online portion must be completed and passed prior to attending the classroom based portion.
Objectives
Students will be able to:
-Perform the tasks required of a SEMG to mobilize and transition into an incident avaition environment
-Prepare for, manage and oversee all phases of a single engine air tanker operation to support local unit and incident activities
-Evaluate the capabilites and organizational needs to implement a safe and efficient SEAT operation to meet the requirements of the local unit and/or an Incident Action Plan
Instructions
Step 1: Complete I-100 Introduction to ICS if necessary
Step 2: Complete the S-273 Online Component- link below
Step 3: Complete the S-273 Online Assessment at the end of the online training. Print your proof of completion and submit to your course coordinator as instructed
(note: your results are not tracked by any system. If you lose your results you will have to take the assessment again. Ensure you have a functioning printer or save to your computer as a .html or .mht)
Step 4: Assemble Kit: Ensure you are prepared for the instructor led training. Please assemble your kit and bring it to class with you. This is part of your final grade. A list of kit requirements is in the Interagency SEAT Operations Guide, Chapter 2 Personnel.
