FI-210 Fire Origin and Cause Pre-Course Work (2005)

Introduction
The pre-course material goes over several sections, much of which is a basic fire review. Each section is followed by a non-graded quiz designed to prepare you for the pre-course exam.

Objectives
Students will be able to:

1. Understand the three sides fo the fire triangle.

2. Identify environmental factors affecting the start and spread of fire.

3. Recongize situations that point to problem or extreme fire behavior.

4. Become familiar with basic fire investigation concepts.

Instructions
Tutorial: You will need to take the self paced tutorial covering the pre-course content.
Hints:
- This tutorial has audio narration. Make sure your speakers work or wear some headphones if in an office setting

-When completing non-graded exercises, if you do not get the question right, you will be redirected to the page in the tutorial that covers that concept. Re-read the material and press the next button to attempt the question again. If you do not get the question right after several attempts, the tutorial will take you to the beginning of that chapter to review the material.

Test: After you have completed the tutorial, you will be able to start the pre-course test. This is an open book test. You must ake this test in one sitting.

The pre-course exam consists of multiple choice questions. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass. You may retake this course as many times as necessary to pass.

Once you have passed the pre-course exam, you can print your results that verifies your successful completion of the pre-course study.

Note: In order for you to print the certificate of completion, the computer you are working from must be connected to a functioning printer.
