Introduction
Welcome to the S-300 Extended Attack Incident Commander Pre-Course Work

The intent of this pre-course work assignment is to review the leadership concepts and principles that will provide the foundation for developing your skills as a Type 3 Incident Commander.

Objectives
Students will:

1. Review and be prepared to discuss leadership concepts and principles

2. Reflect on leadership principles and concepts by completing a discussion exercise.

Instructions
Time: 6-8 hours

1. Read and be ready to discuss the pre-course reading assignment.

2. Download and complete the discussion exercise. You will select three discussion points. Answer each discussion point thoughtfully, citing direct references to the reading, including page numbers. Each answer should be no more than one page. Save and bring your completed work to class where it will be referenced in class discussions and reviewed by the cadre.
