The SOPL's Supervisor

 

Who will be the SOPL's supervisor typically depends upon who ordered the SOPL. However, the AA and the IC have the discretion to determine how the SOPL might most effectively fit into the incident organization and supervisory structure.

  • If the IMO ordered the SOPL, the SOPL is typically located in the Planning Section, and the Planning Section Chief is the SOPL’s supervisor.

  • If the local agency ordered the SOPL, the AA or designee will typically be the SOPL's supervisor.
